Jordan Danger’s art work selected as gift between nations
The Seeker Presented to the Royal Air Force Following Historic Arctic Mission
Jordan Danger's painting The Seeker has been selected as a diplomatic gift from the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to the Royal Air Force (RAF), commemorating one of the most significant allied Arctic operations in modern history.
The work was chosen by Major Skye Simpson, RCAF, following Exercise Polar Puma: the largest integrated RAF-RCAF air mobility mission since the Second World War. The operation saw British and Canadian crews working side-by-side to deliver critical supplies to Canadian Forces Station Alert, the world's northernmost permanently inhabited settlement, located more than 1,100 miles inside the Arctic Circle.
Featuring a solitary polar bear, The Seeker serves as a fitting tribute to the High Arctic landscape that defined the mission. The painting reflects both the resilience of the region and the spirit of cooperation between two long-standing allies operating in one of the planet's most demanding environments.
The presentation of the artwork marks more than the conclusion of a successful military exercise—it symbolizes the enduring friendship between Canada and the United Kingdom. As a Canadian artist whose work often explores northern wildlife and the relationship between people and place, Jordan is honoured that The Seeker will become part of this shared history.
