Danger Creative Studio is a 700 sq ft studio space in the heart of Manotick, designed as Jordan's workspace and gallery shop, while also offering small batch classes for potters growing their skills beyond the basics.

Danger Creative Studio is also the first studio in town to have a committed focus on techniques outside of the wheel: courses are geared towards advanced handbuilding, sculpture, surfaces, and advanced design skills.
The studio includes outdoor space for campfires and lunches over weekend-long workshops, and guest artists will be offering workshops on a variety of topics. Join Jordan at the opening day for a sneak peek into the space on September 27th from 10am-2pm.
Courses for October 2026
These intimate classes give you expert guidance by one of the Valley’s most favourite teachers, Jordan Danger. Classes are categorized for newbies and for advancing potters.
Spend an evening making an adorable berry bowl and decorating it with colourful underglazes so it’s perfect for your home! This workshop is a great way to get into handbuilding—working with clay without a wheel. It’s also a great course for exploring underglaze decoration, making your pieces really come to life! Get fun, get messy, get colourful at this fun little one-night workshop. Perfect for beginners and tons of fun for experienced potters, too.

No outside clay permitted
Courses are for students 18 years and up
Pamper your inner witch with this fun project! Make a domed luminary with Jordan, and decorate it with details and characters: pumpkins, witches, ghosts, and more! A wonderful fall treasure for that pumpkin-spiced-crafty person. No experience necessary, but equally fun for experienced potters!
Monday October 19th, 6:30-9:30pm

Courses are for students 18 years and up
Join Jordan for this 6-session course, learning how to plan out beautiful illustrations on clay using sgraffito and mishima techniques!
Take your pots to the next level, and no drawing skills needed!!!!
This course is welcoming to all skill levels; if you’re new to clay, you’ll learn the basics. If you’re seasoned in clay, Jordan will tailor tips and tricks for advancing your skills and improving your finished product.
5 weeks long, Tuesdays starting November 3rd from 6:30-9:30pm
Good for all skill levels, though you will find it easier to make a great project if you have some prior clay experience.
If you wish to fire at Danger Studio, you must purchase your clay from Danger Studio. Clay is available in half-bags for 25.00. You can add that clay to your order here, or purchase in person on arrival.
Potters who have external studio space may work on forms outside of class (wheel or handbuilt) if they want to work on a specific style of piece. Please contact Jordan by email to discuss parameters.

Jordan has taught and designed curriculum at the college level. Her own ceramics can be found at the Gardiner Museum Shop among various other galleries and exhibitions.
Jordan is also a grad of the Haliburton School of Arts ceramics intensive program.
Teens! Join Jordan after school to unwind and shake off the day before dinner. This casual clay time is a chance for teens to get familiar with clay and have some fun. Projects will change regularly, focused on small attainable projects such as mugs, mini sculptures, and bowls.
Mondays for 4 weeks starting October 5th, from 3:30pm-5:30pm
For teens aged 14-18 exclusively
Good for all experience levels
Students receive 10lbs of clay; more can be purchased for a fee.
All materials must be ours—no outside clay or glazes.
You’re a potter with at least a few courses under your belt, and you’ve got a project in mind that you can’t wait to try…but you need expert guidance on the planning and creation. Well look no further: this course is for you! Spend 3 hours each week in the studio with Jordan Danger, award-winning artist and instructor, working on your own special project while receiving expert guidance and tips from Jordan directly. Avoid costly and maddening mistakes, and work more effectively through the development process, with the hands-on support of a renown ceramicist.
4 weeks long, Sundays from 10-1pm starting October 4th
Best for potters with minimum 3 or more multi-week courses under their belt.
This course does not follow a specific curriculum—it is focused on Q&A specific to your project!
Exclusively for handbuilding and sculpture projects—no wheel projects.
Potters can work on site and take their work back to their own studios/kilns if desired.

Four weeks. You bring your idea for a project. We work together through ideation, sketching, designing, engineering, problem-solving, making and firing.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS?
Spend 4 weeks working through a:
-set of pieces
-a detailed sgraffito or decoration
-problem-solving a technique
-making something outside your comfort zone
-expanding/stretching your creativity
WHAT KIND OF CLAY WORK?
Handbuilding and sculpture are recommended, but if you have access to a wheel elsewhere, this course is also VERY helpful for throwers. We can work through the details of your design and your prototypes in person, then send you home to work on your wheel between sessions.

Please bring several images of your dog, ideally printed out so we can draw on the images and talk about shapes, skeleton, etc.
