Registration opening September 1st! These intimate classes give you expert guidance by one of the Valley’s most favourite teachers, Jordan Danger. Classes are categorized for newbies and for advancing potters.
Spend an evening making an adorable berry bowl and decorating it with colourful underglazes so it’s perfect for your home! This workshop is a great way to get into handbuilding—working with clay without a wheel. It’s also a great course for exploring underglaze decoration, making your pieces really come to life! Get fun, get messy, get colourful at this fun little one-night workshop. Perfect for beginners and tons of fun for experienced potters, too.
Pamper your inner witch with this fun project! Make a domed luminary with Jordan, and decorate it with details and characters: pumpkins, witches, ghosts, and more! A wonderful fall treasure for that pumpkin-spiced-crafty person. No experience necessary, but equally fun for experienced potters!

This event happens on the full moon, and is for women+* only.
Inspired by Anita Diamant’s book of the same name, these gatherings are for women to spend time in a women-centric space in peace and tranquility, reclaiming and rejuvenating some of energy and creativity.
Guests of the Red Tent Gathering will be welcomed into the studio for an evening of quiet togetherness. Light refreshments will be served, and a bonfire will be set up (weather permitting). In the studio, a meditative clay project will take place, something simple and enjoyable for any skill level. Soft music, books, and low lighting round out the event. Women are encouraged to chat, share, and laugh.

Wear cozy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty with clay.

You are encouraged to bring a journal, sketchbook, or notebook and spend time in our garden, studio, and sunroom with your own thoughts and creativity.
You are welcome to chat or be quiet as you desire. Headphones are welcome.
We invite you to put your phone away if possible; bring a tablet or Ipad if you wish to read/draw etc.

You do not need to be on your cycle to attend.

Teens! Join Jordan after school to unwind and shake off the day before dinner. This casual clay time is a chance for teens to get familiar with clay and have some fun. Projects will change regularly, focused on small attainable projects such as mugs, mini sculptures, and bowls.
Mondays for 4 weeks starting October 5th, from 3:30pm-5:30pm
For teens aged 14-18 exclusively
Good for all experience levels
Students receive 10lbs of clay; more can be purchased for a fee.
All materials must be ours—no outside clay or glazes.
You’re a potter with at least a few courses under your belt, and you’ve got a project in mind that you can’t wait to try…but you need expert guidance on the planning and creation. Well look no further: this course is for you! Spend 3 hours in the studio with Jordan Danger, award-winning artist and instructor, working on your own special project while receiving expert guidance and tips from Jordan directly. Avoid costly and maddening mistakes, and work more effectively through the development process, with the hands-on support of a renown ceramicist.
4 weeks long, Sundays from 10-1pm starting October 4th
Best for potters with minimum 3 or more multi-week courses under their belt.
This course does not follow a specific curriculum—it is focused on Q&A specific to your project!
Exclusively for handbuilding and sculpture projects—no wheel projects.
Potters can work on site and take their work back to their own studios/kilns if desired.
If you wish to fire at Danger Studio, you must purchase your clay from Danger Studio. Clay is available in half-bags for 25.00. You can add that clay to your order here.
Monday October 12, 7-8:30pm
A new event, just for the Manotick area!
It’s a challenging time in the world, and especially for a quickly-growing village like Manotick. These gatherings are designed to bring neighbours together for a sharing of knowledge, and a chat about our community.
Each of these gatherings will have two parts:
1. A 30-minute Skill Share: community members will volunteer to lead a talk or demonstration of a skill they have.
2. A 30-minute Community Watch chat: Community members will be invited to share their current concerns and challenges, so we can collaborate on how to work on them.
These events have a small fee solely for the purpose of recuperating costs, dependent on the skill share activity—for example, a demo on canning may require us to purchase some canning supplies. If you cannot afford to pay the fee, please email the studio, as a certain number of no-cost seats will be reserved.

Is the event open to everyone?
These gatherings are for people in the Manotick area. See the map for clarity. However, speakers may come from other areas.
Do I bring anything?
A notebook is recommended.
A folding chair is helpful.
A cup or bottle for tea or water cuts down on waste.
Can I come for only one half?
You can but we prefer you stay for the whole meeting. This allows us to build community, which is the point of these events.
Is this a clay class?
Nope, this is a community gathering!Who should volunteer to speak for Skill Share?
We are looking for people who can speak to skills that others may find useful around their home or yard. This could include: gardening, baking, canning, internet literacy, pet ownership, party planning, origami, intro to hobbies, etc etc etc. If you have an idea, send the studio an email!
