Potters: are you ready to push yourself beyond the regular classes you've done around town? Are you eager to tackle a new project you've never tried before? Do you need guidance, technical advice, or design input along the way?
This is the course for you.
This four-week program is designed for potters who have some experience and are looking to move beyond the prescribed activities of a class. Each week, we'll spend 3 hours in a small group together, working in my studio. I'll be circling the table, guiding your design and technical process as much as you need. You can fire your finished work here, or take it back to your home studio for finishing. There's no pressure to complete a project--you can spend 4 weeks creating prototypes and picking my brain for all the knowledge you need!
This course is focused on:
-Design thinking
-technical learning
-Techniques: surface treatment/decoration
-handbuilding/altering
I have space for 4 handbuilders/sculptors, and 1-2 wheel workers per course. Email me if you have questions about the format.
